US To End Asylum Restrictions For Unaccompanied Children Travelling Alone

WORLD

The unaccompanied migrant children that are trying to enter the United States are no longer going to be denied a chance for seeking asylum under the new guidance that has been announced by the health authorities of the United States.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States said that, the end of the unaccompanied children has not been warranted for the protection of the public health.

This change had been announced just before an order from a court had to take effect that would possibly allow the government of the United States for expelling the unaccompanied children that are seeking asylum under the authority of Title 42, which had been introduced in March 2020 for the purpose of preventing the spread of the novel corona virus across the country.

The covid-19 testing and several other preventive measures are going to be allowing the children that are travelling alone for being released to the sponsors in the United States, and the sponsors have been have typically been their families or the other close relatives.

A federal judge has ruled that, the US CDC has failed for explaining why the unaccompanied children that are travelling alone had been exempted from the Title 42 and has given the administration a week’s time for appeal, and instead of this, the US CDC has lifted the order but only for the unaccompanied children.
