UK Launched Homes for Ukraine Refugee Scheme

The government of the United Kingdom has launched the country’s Homes for Ukraine scheme for the people, who are wanting to host a refugee along with 100,000 people signing up within the first day of the launch of the scheme.

Michael Gove, UK Secretary for Housing and Communities said that, the United Kingdom had a history of supporting the most vulnerable people during some of their darkest hours, and he also said that, there is going to be no limit for how many people of Ukraine can enter the United Kingdom under the visa of the sponsorship scheme.

Each household in the United Kingdom housing a refugee is going to be offered 350 pounds per month and it will be tax free, and they are not going to be expected for providing the food and living expenses but can possibly choose to offer the 350 pounds.

Boris Johnson, prime minister of the United Kingdom said that, it had been fantastic that over 100,000 people of Ukraine and several organizations had now expressed the interest in supporting the people of Ukraine, and he also thanked everyone across the United Kingdom, who has stepped up for offering their help.

The people of the United Kingdom, who are wishing to offer a space rent-free in their home for at-least 6 month can now register online, and they are going to be able to individually sponsor a visa of Ukraine citizen from 18th March 2022.
