US FDA Authorizes Covid-19 Vaccine For Children Under 5 Years Age

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States has authorized two novel corona virus vaccines for the children age 5 years and under, which has opened the door for the vaccination of the millions of young children in the United States.

US FDA has now authorized Pfizer covid-19 vaccine for the children aged between 6 months to 4 years and the covid-19 vaccine of Moderna for the children between 6 months to 17 years. The Pfizer covid-19 vaccine is already been authorized for use in the children and teenagers over the age of five years.

The novel corona virus vaccine can also be rolled out for the children under five years by next week and the pharmacy chains of the United States have also conveyed that, they are all ready for distributing the novel corona virus shots.

An advisory panel of the US CDC, which first needs to make the recommendation on the use of the corona virus vaccine shots has been scheduled in the coming week. As many parents in the United States are eager for vaccinating their young children and it is still not clear that, how strong the demand is going to be for the corona virus shots and the Pfizer corona virus vaccine had been authorized for the children aged between 5 to 11 years in the month of October 2021.
