The company ‘Amazon’ has announced that, it is going to be creating new 1,500 apprenticeships in the United Kingdom in 2022 as the company has now revealed the company’s workforce in the country has been increased to 70,000 in the year 2021.
The online retail company said that, it had been offering the new places on around 40 different schemes that has been including 200 places of the degree levels in the areas such as the retail, publishing, environmental, social and corporate governance and marketing in the United Kingdom.
The company ‘Amazon’ has also revealed that, the company has now grown the workforce by the around 25,000 in the year 2021, and the company had previously said that, it is going to be creating around 10,000 roles in the year 2021 and by the end of the year with around 55,000 permanent employees.
But the company has then recruited an addition 15,000 employees for the fulfilment centres of the company, which will be including the sorting centres along with the delivery stations across the United Kingdom and also for the roles of the corporate and research and development.
The company ‘Amazon’ also said that, it has also invested around 32 billion pounds in the United Kingdom since 2010, and the expansion of the company in the year 2021 has included the company’s first 17 physical stores in the United Kingdom and 15 fresh food stores in the region of London along with two of the four star retail stores of Amazon in Kent and London.
