Mercedes-Benz Working to Bring Level 3 Automated Driving Technology in US

The automobile company ‘Mercedes-Benz’ has become the first automobile company for gaining a valid system approval across the world for a Level 3 autonomous system in the month of December 2021. The feature had been firstly available in the model including Mercedes S-Class and the all-electric alternative EQS, and now, the automobile company has been making the efforts for the purpose of bringing the technology in the United States by the end of 2022.

With the help of the Level 3 autonomous technology, the drivers can go completely hands free even though the company is still going to be keeping an eye on the road and also being ready to intervene if it is necessary. Ola Kallenius, chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that, the company is also working with the full power for the purpose of bringing the Level 3 autonomous technology to the United Sates market soon in the future.

The CEO of the company said that, the company is currently conducting the tests in the United States and has also been talking with the local authorities about the requirements that is going to be met for the launch of the technology for happening.

However he did not provide any of additional details, and the CEO has also admitted that, he is wanting the technology for being available on a large scale. This new technology can also function in the congested and heavy traffic at the speeds of around 60 kilometers per hour.
