NHS Digital Launched New Cyber Security Content

NHS Digital has now launched a new content in the cyber security awareness campaign, and the campaign ‘Keep I.T. Confidential’ is aiming to help the NHS staff in understanding more about the cyber security threats and knowing what to do for decreasing the risk.

Keep I.T. Confidential has been an online cyber security awareness toolkit, which has been available for free for the purpose of helping the NHS trusts and the other healthcare organizations learning about the common-sense security practice and also the impact, the campaign can have it on the patient safety.

The campaign including the practical steps that, the staff can possibly adopt into the everyday jobs such as setting the secured passwords, along with keeping the devices locked when they are not in use and is also being aware of the email scams, social engineering and phishing.

The campaign has been launched by the Data Security Centre of NHS Digital, the materials have also been designed for helping the NHS organizations for running their own cyber security awareness campaigns at a time in a way that is suiting them.

After a successful launch in 2019, the new information has also been added on the data security and being aware of the impacts of sharing much more information. Neil Bennett, chief information security officer of NHS Digital said, by taking small steps like setting strong password and keeping their screens and devices has been locked when they are not in use and are vital for the patient safety and NHS.
