Survey: 84% Indian Healthcare Providers to Increase Budget of Digital Solutions

HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY

The rising number of illnesses, rising costs, and rising demand for high-quality healthcare services have all put a great deal of stress on healthcare resources. Technology is becoming more prevalent throughout the value chain as healthcare providers attempt to enhance operational economies, service delivery, and medical outcomes. The survey-based research found that 84% of respondents want to significantly increase their spending on technology and digital solutions in the coming year.

According to Bhanu Prakash Kalmath, a partner at Grant Thorton Bharat LLP, India has successfully adopted electronic currencies and payment systems over the past ten years. In order to promote improved healthcare outcomes, robust management, operational excellence, and compliance, more than 80% of respondents to their study stated that they would like to increase their budget for digital and IT infrastructure investment.

Bhanu Prakash went on to say that a number of programs run by the Indian government are also promoting the use of health technology. Technology will play a crucial role in advancing India’s goal of providing universal health care by reducing costs, accessibility, and availability.

Since 66% of healthcare providers and leaders do not believe their IT infrastructure is sufficient to prevent cyberattacks, this is an important area for improvement and focus.
