Yas Clinic Group (YCG) Partnered with USA’s Globus Medical To Conduct First Robot Spine Surgery

Yas Clinic Group (YCG) based in Abu Dhabi has now partnered with the Globus Medical based in the United States for the purpose of successfully conducting the robot assisted spine surgery, which YCG claims for being the first in Middle East.

The Yas Clinic Group (YCG) has been looking to establish a spine centre of the excellence in the region of Abu Dhabi for the purpose of offering the patients of Middle East cutting edge surgical and non-surgical treatment of the spinal pathologies. The surgery had been conducted by Dr. Abdul Salam Abu Baker AI Belushi, an Emirati neurosurgeon.

YCG has been a health network driven by research based in the region of Abu Dhabi, and its vision has been to pioneer the medical research locally for the purpose of ensuring that, the people of the United Arab Emirates and beyond getting the best care possible.

The company ‘Globus Medical’ based in the United States, has been developing the spinal and orthopaedic implants along with the surgical instruments for the patients with the spine disorders.

The United Arab Emirates has been developing the other specialized healthcare facilities and has also announced another new project in the advanced cancer treatment, and the joint venture between the Royal Strategic Partners based in Abu Dhabi, with MIG Group based in Dubai and Star Energy of Austria is going to be building a neutron therapy hospital. The main aim of the centre has been to become the main hub for the research and also developing the latest technologies for treating the advanced cancer in the region.
