A day after Portugal’s crushing quarterfinal loss to Morocco, Ronaldo declares that Portugal’s World Cup dream is over. Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged on December 11, 2022, that after 19 years, his unsuccessful bid for a World Cup title had come to an end.

For the first time since Portugal’s exit from the FIFA World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged that he had put in a lot of effort to represent Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo stated in an Instagram post that winning a World Cup for his country was the most significant and ambitious goal of his football career.

A picture of the striker leaving the field following Morocco’s defeat was included with the Instagram post. Cristiano Ronaldo went on to say that it’s pointless to react negatively and that he just wants everyone to know that although a lot has been said, written, and speculated about, he has never wavered in his devotion to his country.

Ronaldo went on to say that he has given everything in his five World Cup appearances, always playing with great players and being backed by missions of fans, and that he has left everything on the field. However, Ronaldo added that the World Cup aspiration was unfortunately dashed.
