US to Allow People to Get Mix and Match Covid-19 Vaccine Booster Shots

The US FDA is going to allow the Mix and Match strategy for the people of the United States that are seeking the booster shots of the novel corona virus vaccine, which will be allowing the people in the country to receive a different brand of the corona virus vaccine as a booster than the one vaccine, which they had initially received.

The people, who are familiar with the planning said that, the US FDA is not going to recommend any one brand over the another brand at the time of announcing this new strategy, even though the agency might mention that, receiving the novel corona virus vaccine of the same company for the booster dose has been preferable.

In the month of September 2021, the US FDA has allowed the corona virus booster shots of the covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech to get at least six months after the second dose of the vaccine. The US FDA has also expected to accept the novel corona virus vaccine booster shots of the companies likes Johnson and Johnson and Moderna.

The expected authorization of the US FDA has come after the first major study in the United States that had been released in the previous week for the purpose of testing by using the different novel corona virus boosters developed by the companies including Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and Moderna than the one, which were initially received.
