US: Hitachi Acquires Flexware Innovation

Hitachi, Ltd. announced that it has acquired Flexware Innovation, Inc., a leading manufacturing Systems Integrator (SI). Flexware Innovation is a strategic acquisition for Hitachi because of its focus on the TOTAL SEAMLESS SOLUTION that links the top floor and shop floor with digital technology and data.

With this acquisition, Hitachi will accelerate the company’s offerings between shop floor options, and enterprise systems, particularly in North America. With this acquisition of Flexware Innovation, Hitachi will enhance and strengthen its business in the domain of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), Software Development, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Business Intelligence (BI), and ERP implementation capabilities in North America.

Hitachi will accelerate the digitalization with JR Automation that works in the robotic SI & automation. Further, through this acquisition, Hitachi will be able to provide a TOTAL SEAMLESS SOLUTION from robotic SI & automation, MES, SCADA, ERP, and BI and help manufacturing leaders increase corporate value.

The Hitachi is to globally develop a TOTAL SEAMLESS SOLUTION that solves issues existing in the boundaries between top flour, shop flour, and supply chain to create new business value, by taking advantage of offerings ranging from products, IT (Information Technology), and OT (Operational Technology).
