US Government Found Highly Dangerous Bird Flu in Chickens of Tyson Foods

On Monday, 14th February 2022, the officials of the government of the United States and Tyson Foods said, a flock or around 240,000 chickens that has been owned by the Tyson Foods Inc. in the region of Kentucky have been tested positive for a highly dangerous form of a bird flu, which has been widening an outbreak that is threatening the poultry industry of the United States.

The infections in the chickens of Tyson Foods are being raised for meat has been responsible for triggering more restriction on the exports of the United States along with China blocking the products of poultry from the region of Kentucky.

The officials of Kentucky said, the broiler chickens in the Fulton County based in the region of Kentucky, had also been infected with the same strain of H5N1 of the highly pathogenic avian flu as the turkeys in the region of Indiana.

The officials said that, it has been first outbreak in Kentucky of the highly dangerous and lethal bird flu that is responsible for killing more than 50 million chickens and turkey of the United States in the year 2019, and the birds from the infected flock are going to be killed and is not going to enter system.

The company ‘Tyson Foods’ is going to be working with the authorities of the government for the purpose of preventing the disease from spreading and it is also increasing the safety measures at the other farms in the region.
