HEALTHCARE

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized PADM Medical PRECISION ECO plant-based procedural mask with earloops under emergency use authorization (EUA). The face mask is the first plant based procedural mask in the world to receive EUA for use in medical and healthcare industries.

PADM Medical Group of Companies, a global leader in design and development of eco-friendly and sustainable medical products, announced that it has received its EUA from the US FDA to market PRECISION ECO in the United States.

The PADM’s PRECISION ECO will help decrease the adverse impact on the environment of single-use, petroleum-based disposable face masks. The masks are made from ECOFUSE materials, which are industrially compostable. By being plant-based, they help decrease the carbon dioxide emissions of PRECISION ECO by around 55 percent compared to other petroleum-based masks.

Martin Petrak, chief executive officer of PADM Medical Group, said the EUA on the PRECISION ECO product is a milestone, and it is a reward for their commitment to making eco-conscious products to support the wellness and health of all individuals and their planet.
