US CDC To ease Covid-19 Pandemic Facemask Guidelines

The government of the United States is significantly easing the federal mask-wearing guidelines for the purpose of protecting the people against the novel corona virus transmission, and this means that, the people of the United States are no longer going to be advised for wearing the masks in the indoor public settings.

The US CDC is going to be announcing a change to the metrics, which is being used by the US CDC for the purpose of determining whether to recommend the face masks along with shifting from looking at the novel corona virus cases to a more proper view of the risk from the corona virus to a community in the country.

Under the ongoing corona virus guidelines, the masks have been recommended for the people residing in the communities of the high transmission of around 95 percent of the counties in the United States.

The new metrics is still going to be considering the caseloads, but it is also taking into account that, the hospitalizations and the capacity of the local hospital that has been marked as improved during the emergence of the Omicron covid-19 variant.

The new policy has come as the government of the United States has been moving to shift the focus to the prevention of a severe illness and death from the novel corona virus other than all the instances of the infection as a part of adjustment of a strategy for a new phase in the response as the corona virus comes to an end.
