US CDC, People Should Avoid Cruise Travel Amid Rise in Omicron Cases

On Thursday, 30th December 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States have given the advise to the people of the United States for going on the cruises regardless of the country’s status of the corona virus vaccination after a recent increase in the positive corona virus cases onboarding the ships as the highly contagious Omicron covid-19 variant has been sweeping the globe.

The US CDC has increased the travel warning for the cruises to the highest level as the agency has also been investigating and observation of the dozens of the ships, which have the corona virus outbreaks.

The cruise ships that are operating in the waters of the United States that have been reported around 5,000 corona virus cased to the US CDC between 15th December 2021 to 29th December 2021, which has been an large increase in the cases as compared within the first two weeks of the month, when the country has recorded 162 corona virus cases.

The US CDC also said that, it has especially been important that, the travellers, who are at an increasing risk of the serious illness from the corona virus for avoiding the travel on the cruise ships that has been including the river cruises.

The US CDC has also warned that, the novel corona virus is transmitting easily between the people in the close quarters of the ships along with a chance of catching the corona virus on cruise has been very high for the vaccinated people.
