US CDC: Country Experience Highest Covid-19 Hospitalizations Rate of Children

According to the latest data of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States, the hospitalizations of the children in the country related to the novel corona virus are at the highest level since the beginning of the corona virus pandemic in the year 2020.

The United States of America has also been averaging 893 new admissions of the children in the hospital every day for the children, who are under the age of 17 years, which has been a record high since the US CDC has started for tracking the number from the month of August 2020.

According to the US CDC, several of these hospitalizations of the children are because of the corona virus even though some children, who had been admitted for the several other causes but they have also tested positive for the novel corona virus when they had been admitted in the period of the stays in the hospitals.

The data from the US CDC has been showing that, the United States have been more than 90,000 total admissions in the hospitals for the children, who are 17 years old and within the period from 1st August 2020 to 13th January 2022. The highest rates of the hospitalization among all the children are in the ages of the newborn to 4 years, which are eligible for the corona virus vaccination yet.

The US CDC is also expecting the hospitalizations of the children due to covid-19 will continue to be increasing in the upcoming weeks.
