United States Issues Warning of Do Not Travel for Canada

On Monday, 10th January 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States and the State Department of the United States has issued warning of Do Not Travel to the neighbouring Canada due to the increasing number of the novel corona virus cases as the new Omicron covid-19 variant spreads rapidly in the country.

The US CDC elevated that, its recommendation for travel to the Level Four for the country of Canada, which has been telling the people of the United States they should be avoiding the travel, as the State Department of the United States has also issued the Do Not Travel advisory for Canada that has been citing the novel corona virus cases.

The US CDC, which has also listed around 80 destinations across the world at the Level Four, and they has also raised the island of Curacao to the Level Four. In the month of November 2021, the government of the United States have lifted the corona virus travel restriction as the land borders of the United States with Mexico and Canada for the fully vaccinated international travellers, and Canada now remains a top international destination for the people of the United States.

A spokesperson for Melanie Joly, foreign minister of Canada said, they are aware of the latest advice from the US CDC.
