UK Signed Digital Trade Deal to Support IT Industry of Ukraine

The United Kingdom has announced plans to put in place a digital trade deal with Ukraine that it claims will help the country to protect jobs and rebuild the economy following the invasion by Russia.

The new agreement is intended to remove red tape for the technology companies of Ukraine wishing to trade with the United Kingdom. An important means of achieving the goal will be the implementation of technological processes such as documents and electronic transactions.

The work on the deal has already started following a direct request from the government of Ukraine, which is led by Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine. Vadym Prystaiko, ambassador of Ukraine, said that while they fight for the freedom of their nation, many Ukrainians also look ahead to how they will be rebuilding their country. He also said that strengthening their economic ties through the digital trade agreement will now support their IT industry, which is all set to become a major driver of economic growth for their businesses and cities.
