UK: Rafael Benitez Appointed as New Manager of Everton FC

News

The football club of Everton has appointed for Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez as the new manager for the club after finalising all the terms on a contract for three years at the Goodison Park.

Rafael Benitez is going to be replacing Carlo Ancelotti after the personal terms had been agreed with Farhad Moshiri, who is the majority shareholder of the club, and an official statement is also expected to be released from the Everton FC in coming days.

Rafael Benitez is going to be the most controversial managerial appointment in the history of the Everton football club given Rafael’s strong allegiances to the football club of Liverpool, where he was successful in winning the Champions League in 2005, along with the FA Cup in 2006.

The anger Rafael Benitez has caused among the fans of Everton by calling his new club as a small club after a Merseyside derby in the year 2007, and animosity towards Rafael Benitez had already been spilled all over into the personal abuse on the banners that had been left outside of the Goodison Park.

The opposition of many of the Everton FC fans to the appointment of Rafael Benitez has not affected him for accepting the offer for returning to the management of the Premier League, and it also did not affect Farhad Moshiri from making another divisive choice.

In spite of having a director of football in Marcel Brands, the majority shareholder of Everton FC has again personally driven the search for a new manager for the club after Carlo Ancelotti have stunned the Everton FC by returning to Real Madrid on 1st June 2021.
