UK MHRA Selects Commonwealth Informatics Inc. to Explore Use of Machine Learning and AI for Safety

Commonwealth Informatics, a leading provider of the innovative product based on cloud technology and services for the public health surveillance and medical product safety announced, it has signed a new contract for the purpose of supporting the UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency) through the NHSX program of digital transformation for the purpose of exploring the approaches of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to the safety surveillance.

This project is going to research on the use of the Machine Language and Artificial Intelligence for making the use of the real-world evidence along with the spontaneous reporting and also the use of the novel analytical techniques for the characterizing and identifying the safety issues earlier and in more robust manner across the medical devices, medicines and vaccines.

Phil Tregunno, group manager vigilance, intelligence and research group of MHRA UK said, through this new program, the UK MHRA has been looking to fulfil the mission for the purpose of transforming how the MHRA UK is managing the safety of the patients for all the regulated products of healthcare along with establishing a more responsive system for surveillance.
