UK Government to add Covaxin to its Approved Covid-19 Vaccines List from 22nd November

The Covaxin covid-19 vaccine of Bharat Biotech is going to be added to the list of the approved corona virus vaccines of the government of United Kingdom for the international travelers from 22nd November 2021.

This comes after the Covaxin vaccine has got the authorization for the emergency use approval from the World Health Organization (WHO), and the changes are going to come into effect at 4 am on 22nd November 2021, and this means that, the people who are inoculated with the Covaxin corona virus vaccine will not have to self-quarantine themselves after their arrival in the United Kingdom.

In October 2021, the Covishield, which is the Oxford University and AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine produced in India had been added to the approval list of the UK government. Alex Ellis, high commissioner of United Kingdom to India said, it has been a good news for the travelers coming from India to the United Kingdom, and from 22nd November 2021, the international travelers, who are fully vaccinated with the corona virus vaccine recognized by the WHO for the emergency use, which now includes Covaxin, will not have to quarantine themselves.

Apart from the listing of the Covaxin corona virus vaccine, the government of United Kingdom is also going to add the Sinopharm and Sinovac corona virus vaccines developed by China, and both are on the emergency use listing of WHO to the covid-19 vaccine list for the inbound travelers.
