Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise, will begin streaming in India on Amazon Prime Video on December 26, 2022. The Paramount Pictures film, which is a sequel to Tom Cruise’s classic hit Top Gun from 1986, will be available on the platform in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu.
The release date of the movie on the Prime Video was announced on the Twitter page by Amazon Prime Video. The movie is a set over 30 years after the events of Top Gun directed by Tony Scott, and sees Maverick training group of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission.
Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Jon Hamm, Charles Parnell, Lewis Pullman, Monica Barbaro, Danny Ramirez, Bashir Salahuddin, Greg Tarzan Davis, with Val Kilmer and Ed Harris, and Greg Tarzan Davis reprise their roles as US Naval aviators in the follow-up.
With reported worldwide earnings of 1.488 billion dollars, the film is said to be 2022’s highest grossing film. Additionally, it received numerous awards, including Golden Globe nominations for best motion picture. The Critics’ Choice Movie Award for best picture was also given to the film.
