Study: Thousands of Post-Covid-19 Patients Experiencing New Medical Problems in US

According to a study, thousands of the post-covid-19 patients of the United States of America have sought the medical care for the post-covid-19 health issues, which the people had not been diagnosed before getting infected by the novel corona virus.

The study, which is conducted for the purpose of tracking the health insurance records of around 2-million people of the country, who had contracted the corona virus in 2020 have found that, that around 23 percent of the infected people have reached for the medical treatment for the newly developed health conditions.

The people, who have been infected by the corona virus were from all the age groups including children, and the new health problems were including muscle pain, nerve pain, along with breathing problems, high cholesterol, fatigue and high blood pressure, and the other health issues were sleep disorders, and mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.

Robin Gelburd, president of FAIR Health, that conducted the study said, there has been one thing, which had been surprising to them was the large percentage of the asymptomatic patients, which are in the long corona virus category, and more than 50 percent of the 2-million patients and their evaluated records that have been reported no symptoms from the novel corona virus infection.

Around 40 percent of those patients were having the symptoms, but they did not require the hospitalizations, which has been including the people who only had a symptom of loss of smell and taste and only 5 percent people were hospitalized.
