South Korea’s LG Chem Ltd., to Build Tech Centers in Europe and US

On Monday, 11th October 2021, LG Chem Ltd., leading chemical company of South Korea said, it is going to be establishing technical support facilities in regions of Europe and the United States for the purpose of improving the customer care services in the company’s main market.

The company ‘LG Chem’ is going to be investing around 103 million dollars for the purpose of establishing the technology centers in the region of Ohio in the United States and in Frankfurt in Germany, along with the company’s full-scale operations that had been scheduled to begin the in the year 2023.

LG Chem said, Europe and the United States has been the main markets, that have been accounting for more than 20 percent of the global demand for the strategic products of the company. LG Chem also said that, each technology center has been a dedicated customer support organization, that is going to provide the comprehensive technical solutions such as the quality improvement and the product solutions to those, who has purchased the petrochemical products.

The company also said, its European and American technology centers will each have different pilot facilities for the technical support tailored by the customers, especially centered on the automotive materials, along with packaging the films, along with the eco-friendly products.

A total of 70 experts of research and development, which also includes the application technology teams like the injection technology and extrusion processing, is going to be stationed for the purpose of providing the technical support to those are in need.
