Siemens Digital Industries Software announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire ZONA Technology, Inc., a specialist in the field of aeroelastic simulation solutions. This addition of the ZONA Technology, Inc. technology to the Xcelerator portfolio of Siemens will assist the customers in making their digital threads as comprehensive and as efficient to provide help in increasing the speed of innovation, and ensure on-budget and on-time delivery of more sustainable aerospace invention.

The technology of ZONA Technology, Inc. will become part of Somcenter software portfolio of Siemens that allows the creation of a unique end-to-end airframe structure design and certification analysis digital thread, starting with early conceptual studies, and structural documentation and certification.

This combination of the company’s high fidelity aeroelastic methods and industry leading Simcenter simulation can decrease dependency on the tools of third-party aeroelasticity and replace disjointed workflows for verification, simulation and airframe analysis.
