This announcement has been an effort for the purpose of driving the multiple party collaboration and innovation for the advancement of the networks based on the software, and with this ecosystem, the parties are also continuing to advance the vRAN towards a more scalable and flexible network that has been delivering the reliability, management and performance.
Samsung Electronics has been the global leader in then completely virtualized market of 5G RAN, and the achievement of the company had been driven by the 5G vRAN solution that has been deployed around the world, that has been making the company the only large vendor of the network for having delivered of the completely virtualized commercial deployments of RAN in the regions Asia, North America and Europe.
Samsung Electronics has also delivered the 5G vRAN technology solutions or a large-scale commercial network service in the United States that has been launched in the month of December 2020 responsible for providing reliable mobile services to the millions of users, and the company is also continuing to expand the company’s footprint of 5G vRAN.
Woojune Kim, executive VP and head of sales and market, network business at Samsung Electronics said, as most of the vendors claim that, they are supporting the Open RAN by starting with the RIC (RAN Intelligent Controller), in reality this has still been far from the commercialization in the large scale networks.
