TECHNOLOGY

The first-ever 5G data pack for prepaid customers has been announced by Reliance. The new plan, which offers 6GB of data after which speeds will decrease to 64 kbps, has the same validity as your current plan. The data pack is available for prepaid plans priced at Rs 119, Rs 149, Rs 179, Rs 199, and Rs 209, and its price is Rs 61.

Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Meerut, Tirupati, Nellore, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Nagpur, and Ahmednagar are the ten cities where the telecom network launched 5G services. With the most recent deployment, 85 cities now have access to Jio 5G. By December 2023, Jio intends to provide standalone 5G coverage throughout the nation.

The 5G service of Airtel is based on a non-standalone 5G that mainly uses 4G components and also offers slower download speeds and higher latency compared to the standalone 5G network of Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio is also planning to roll out the standalone 5G network across India.
