Pirelli To Build Tire Production Technology Hub In Mexico

The company ‘Pirelli’ has now announced an investment of 15 million dollars over a period of two years for the construction of an advanced technology and digitalization hub for the tire production at the company’s factory based in Silao, Mexico.

The main aim of the investment is going to be the creation of the first R&D Center of the company based in Italy in Mexico, which is going to contain the tire production technologies that has been designed for the future mobility like the electric, sustainable and connected.

According to the company, the Research and Development center at Mexico is going to be helpful in increasing the company’s technological and industrial competiveness throughout the region of North America and also enhancing the ability of the company for serving and supporting the premium brands mainly in the United States.

The technological hub is going to be combined of the local talent along with training and transfer of knowledge and generating jobs for the specialized professionals and also creating the connections with the local universities.

Pirelli said that, the new technological hub is going to be having the main areas like modelling, testing, digitalization, specialties and cyber. The company also said that, the technological innovation has been an essential element of the strategy of the company and it is also playing an important role in the business model of the company. This new hub in Mexico is going to be an addition to the 13 existing R&D centers of the company across the world.
