PayPal Launched Cryptocurrency Service in United Kingdom

PayPal, online payment company in the United States said, it is going to launch its cryptocurrency service in the United Kingdom, and on Monday, 23rd August 2021, PayPal said, it is going to be letting the customers of United Kingdom for purchasing, holding and selling the digital currencies across the country and it is going to start from this week.

This move is going to be marking the first expansion of the cryptocurrency product of PayPal on the international level, that has been firstly launched in the United States in the month of October 2021.

Jose Fernandez da Ponte, general manager for crypto, blockchain and digital currencies at PayPal said, this new service has been doing well in the United States, and they are also expecting that, the service is going to do well in the United Kingdom, and the cryptocurrency feature of PayPal will be letting the customers in the United Kingdom for buying and selling the Ethereum, bitcoin, bitcoin cash and also Litecoin and the users can also be tracking the prices of the cryptocurrencies in the real-time, and also finding an educational content on the market.

Just like the United States version of PayPal, it has also been relying on the Paxos, a digital currency company regulated in New-York for the purpose of enabling the cryptocurrency and also selling in the United Kingdom and the company ‘PayPal’ has also been engaged with the relevant regulators of the United Kingdom for the purpose of launching the cryptocurrency service in the country.
