Oscars 2023 to Air all 23 Categories Live

In order to re-evaluate the long-awaited rule in 2021, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been taking decisive action. After the highly criticized decision to decrease the number of awards in order to save time in 2021, and reports claim that the 2023 Academy Awards will feature all 23 categories live on air.

Bill Kramer, CEO of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 2022 broadcast of the awards ceremony will once again feature all 23 categories.

Makeup and hairstyling, the original score, film editing, animated shorts, documentary shorts, sound, and live action shorts were the award categories that were not presented at the 2022 event.

Bill Kramer added that they are committed to having a show that honors the arts and sciences, the collaborative nature of filmmaking, and artisans. This is what’s truly going on with the mission of the Foundation, and he is very confident that they can do a show, that commends all parts of making a film in an engaging and connecting way.

They are extremely pleased to be in a position to carry out the plan, as the CEO has disclosed that he is having numerous discussions regarding the return of the eight categories to live broadcast.

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12, 2023, and Jimmy Kimmel will host the ceremony for the third time. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC in over 200 countries from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
