The Olympic swimming trials of United States of America still get the synapses firing of Michael Phelps, although the all-time great had nothing on the line at the meeting. Michael Phelps has been at the swimming trials in Omaha as an honored spectator, but after the continuous five Olympic campaigns, which had yielded 28 medals and out of which 23 gold medals, and Michael Phelps said that, being on the deck in the trials gave him chills.
Michael Phelps said that, walking on the deck of the pool, he had to take deep breaths and he also felt chills going up in his body, and Michael Phelps also said that, somehow all those years of preparation for the Olympics and competing at the trials, and this has been the first edition of the qualifying trials since 1996 in which he has not featured.
On Monday, 14th June 2021, Michael Phelps said, body-wise he is almost ready, and he just wanted to get into the pool and do a real time trial or something and this all has been he knew, and he have really understood. Michael Phelps also said that, these trials got a lot of things firing inside him last night and the trials have really excited him.
Michael Phelps added that, it had been very overwhelming the first night, but in a very positive way, and even after five years of his farewell games in Rio Olympics, he is not sure that he had been able to completely assimilate his accomplishments, which includes his record of 8 gold medals in 2008 Beijing Olympics.
