On Monday, 24th January 2022, Meta, parent company of Facebook said, it has created a supercomputer based in the artificial intelligence technology and the company believes that, the supercomputer is going to be among the fastest artificial intelligence based supercomputers that are currently running.
The company said that, it has been hoping that, the machines are going to be helping them to lay the groundwork for the purpose of the company to build the metaverse, which has been a virtual reality creation that is intended for supplanting today’s known internet. Facebook said that, it has been believing that, the supercomputer is going to be the fastest in the world once it is built completely around the middle of the year 2022.
The supercomputers have been extremely powerful and fast machines that are built for the purpose of doing complex calculations, which are not possible with any regular computer, and the company ‘Meta’ has not revealed, where the supercomputer is going to be located and how much cost is required to build it.
The company said that, the supercomputer is going to help the artificial intelligence researchers of the company for building better and new models of artificial intelligence, which can learn from many of the examples and can also simultaneously work across the different languages along with analysing the text, videos and images together.
Meta said, its supercomputer is going to be incorporating with the examples of the real-world starting from the company’s own systems into the training of artificial intelligence.
