Jon Rahm Wins His First US Open Golf Championship

On Sunday, 20th June 2021, the final round of the 121st US Open golf championship did not lack the theatrics and tension, as Jon Rahm, a Spanish golfer, has found a resolve for birdie the final two holes at the Torrey Pines Golf Course for winning the national golf championship of United States of America by just one stroke.

Two weeks ago, Jon Rahm had been forced to withdraw from a tournament in tears, as he had been tested positive for the novel corona virus. The win had been the first major golf championship and it has made Jon Rahm the first golfer of Spain to win the US Open golf championship. On 5th June 2021, Jon Rahm had been leading the Memorial Tournament going on in Ohio, when the positive covid-19 test kept him out of the final round.

After his win, Jon Rahm said, last week, when he was cleared to return to the golf tour, he felt that, the stars have started aligning, and Jon Rahm also said, he just had a very good feeling by knowing that, he had been coming to San Diego, and every time he comes to San Diego, he is very happy.

He said, he had never been resentful for any second and for anything, and he does not blame anybody, but unfortunately the novel corona virus is a reality, and they have actually lost a lot of people, and the people said that, it was not fair to let Jon Rahm to play, but it had been what had to be done and all of it has led to this moment.
