Johnson & Johnson: Covid-19 Booster Shots Prompts Strong Immune Response

On Wednesday, 25th August 2021, the company ‘Johnson & Johnson’ said, the booster doses of the company’s single-shot novel corona virus vaccine have been responsible in generating a big increase in the antibodies, which are the frontline defenses for immune system against the infection.

The company said, the people, who have received a booster dose of the covid-19 vaccine after six to eight months after receiving their initial shots of Johnson & Johnson have seen that, the antibodies were increased higher than 28 days after the first shot of the novel corona virus vaccine.

The data has been coming from the studies of phase 2, which was conducted in the United States and in the region of Europe, and around 2,000 people have been participated in the studies for getting the booster doses of the novel corona virus doses six months after receiving the first doses of the vaccine.

Johnson and Johnson said in a statement, the new interim data collected from these studies have been responsible for demonstrating that, a booster dose of the Johnson and Johnson novel corona virus vaccine that has been responsible in generating a robust and rapid increase in the antibodies.

Dr. Mathai Mammen, head of research and development for Janssen said, they have already established that, a single dose of their novel corona virus vaccine that has been responsible for generating a robust and strong immune response that are more persistent and durable through eight months, and with the help of these new data from the studies.
