India Registers New 171 COVID-19 Cases in Last 24 Hours

On January 11, 2023, India had recorded 171 new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total number of active cases to 2,342, according to data on the Health Ministry’s website.

The rate of case fatalities was approximately 1.19 percent. The weekly positivity rate was 0.11 percent, while the daily positivity rate was 0.09 percent.

According to the news agency PTI, the number of active COVID-19 cases increased by 23 across the country in the last 24 hours. From the 1,80,926 samples that were taken by health officials on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, this rise was noted.

The majority of the country’s 2,342 active cases come from Kerala, which has 1,342 active cases, followed by Karnataka, which has 210 active cases. However, Maharashtra was the location of the majority of cases reported in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there were COVID-19 new cases.

Up until this point, the country has given out 220.15 billion vaccines, with 51,377 cases recorded on Tuesday alone. Uttar Pradesh has received approximately 39 crore vaccines, followed by Maharashtra with approximately 17 Crore. iNCOVACC, India’s first needle-free nasal vaccine, has also recently received approval from the government.
