India Records Fresh 4,435 COVID-19 Cases in a Single Day

India recorded 4,435 new COVID-19 infections, the largest single-day increase in 163 days (five months and 13 days), according to Union health ministry data, while the number of active cases increased to 23,091. On September 25 of last year, 4,777 cases were accounted for altogether. India’s coronavirus count has increased to 4.47 crore COVID-19 cases as a result of the new cases.
