Facebook to Require On-Campus Employees to Wear Face Masks in US

From Wednesday, 4th August 2021, the social media giant ‘Facebook’ is going to require all the employees on Facebook’s campuses in the United States to wear face masks, regardless of their novel corona virus vaccination status, and the move called as ‘piggybacks’ on the recent orders of the health officials of Bay Area for instructing all the individuals for wearing face masks when the people are in the offices.

A spokesperson of Facebook said, the health and safety of their employees and neighbors in the community always remains their top priority, given the continuously increasing the number of the novel corona virus cases, which has been the newest data on the corona virus variants, along with an continuously growing number of the local requirements, and they are also going to reinstate their requirement of the mask in all of the US offices of Facebook, amid the covid-19 vaccination status of the employees.

Facebook has now initially planned the conditions for working from home conditions until the Month of July 2021, that has been providing an additional 1,000 dollars for the purpose of setting up their office in the homes, and as of June 2021, the intended timeline of the company ‘Facebook’ is also aiming to open the offices at the half capacity in the month of September 2021, before calling all the employees back in the month of October 2021.

For maximizing the protection against the highly contagious Delta variant of the novel corona virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of United States has recommended everyone in the country, which includes the fully vaccinated people to wear a face mask in the outdoor public places.
