European Union Will Not Impose Travel Restrictions on US

The European Union has made the decision that, it is not going to reinstate the corona virus travel restrictions on the non-essential travellers arriving from the United States in spite of the new corona virus cases in the United States are exceeding the threshold of the European Union.

According to a spokesperson of the European Union, the next review of the list of the countries that are being granted the non-essential travel access in the European Union region is going to be in two weeks, and according to the data analysed by the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the new novel corona virus vases in the United States have been increased by around 270 people per 100,000 people in the past 14 days, and the limit of the European Union is 75 new cases.

The guidance from the European Union has been a recommendation and any decision regarding whom to let in, along what type of the restrictions to be imposed, has been ultimately on the governments of each member state of the European Union, as the member nations have largely been followed by the guidelines.
