CPower Energy Management (CPower), a leading national energy solutions provider, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the US demand response division of Centrica Business Solutions, LLC. Centrica is an integrated energy solutions company providing commercial and industrial load management with customers in PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, and ERCOT.
This acquisition will position CPower as a leader in the United States in providing grid flexibility and reliability through the distributed energy resources (DER) powered by the customer, along with around 6.3 gigawatts of capacity at over 17,000 sites available to be dispatched to the grid when it was needed the most.
CPower also helps participating DER owners to keep energy costs low, along with enhancing resiliency and avoiding carbon emissions by being available to use less amount of electricity during the peak period.
