Covid-19 Cases Increased Again in United States

According to the reports, the curve of the novel corona virus cases in the United States is increasing again after months of decline, along with the number of the new covid-19 cases doubling per day over the previous three weeks. This increase in the covid-19 cases is mainly driven by the rapidly spreading delta variant of the novel corona virus, along with the lag in the covid-19 vaccination rates and gatherings on the Independence Day.

According to the data from Johns Hopkins University, on Monday, 12th July 2021, the novel corona virus infections have been increased to an average of around 23,600 cases a day, which is up from 11,300 covid-19 cases on 23rd June 2021, and on 17 days of the past 18 days, the seven day average of the novel corona virus cases had been higher than the average record of 14-days, which is suggesting that, the covid-19 cases have been increasing across the nation.

The health authorities in the places like St. Louis and Los Angeles County have now been requesting to the already immunised people for resuming the wearing of masks in the public, and officials of the health department of United States are now also recommending that, the people who are above the age of 65 years, and the people who are having the chronic underlying conditions for staying away from the large indoor and outdoor gatherings due to a 150 percent increase in the hospitalizations over the previous three weeks.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), around all recent novel corona virus cases and deaths from the disease are now among the people who are not vaccinated.
