Cannabis Oil: Can It Be Used As Medicine?

HEALTHCARE

UK’s government has taken up charge of reviewing the authorized use of Cannabis products as these help the parents for curing their children suffering from epilepsy. Most of the parents believe that this severe traumatic disease is the only thing which helps in controlling seizures that their kids experience.

Being extracts of Cannabis plants, Cannabis Oils are unprocessed and contain about 100 active ingredients as the normal plants containing two main active substances such as cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

THC is classified as a schedule one drug that means it does not contain any therapeutic value and it is considered as illegal. Even though the breeders are trying to cultivate plants with higher CBD and lower level of THC, it is impossible to grow Cannabis oil with no amount of THC in it.

According to Home Office, any constituents containing greater than 0.05 percent of THC in it, would be considered as Schedule 1 drug. Presently, in the UK, there is only one brand that contains less than 0.05 percent of THC and is bought by parents for healing their children.
