ENTERTAINMENT

Twenty-five years after Brandy first played the role of Cinderella, Brandy is returning as Cinderella in the new Descendants movie for Disney+. The singer and actress will reprise her role as the fairytale heroine, which was first seen in the television movie Cinderella in 1997, in a new movie in the Descendants franchise for Disney+.

The project, called The Pocketwatch, is Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts from the story of Alice in Wonderland. The Pocketwatch is followed from Descendants 3 from 2019. The first film of the Descendants series told the story of the teenaged children of some of the well-known villains from the animated classics of Disney.

The first three films starred Booboo Stewart, Dove Cameron, and the late Cameron Boyce. This new story will explore the characters, including Chloe and Red, the daughters of Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts, as they navigate the balance of power between evil and good with a mix of time travel mixed with Pocketwatch.
