Blue Tick for Instagram and Facebook to Cost Rs 1,450 a Month in India

BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY

In February 2023, Meta launched Meta Verified on the basis of Elon Musk’s Twitter Blue strategy. It is a service that requires a subscription and uses a government ID to verify profiles. The program has previously been carried out in Australia, New Zealand, and the US, with membership costs beginning at $11.99 each month. Meta has now reportedly revealed the subscription pricing and opened a waitlist for Indian users.

Indian Express reported that Indian users can subscribe to Meta Verified for Rs. 1,450 every month on versatile and Rs. 1,099 for using the internet to access Instagram and Facebook. The subscription will award the verified accounts on both platforms a blue tick. It will also provide an additional layer of security by authenticating each account with an ID that has been approved by the government, thereby lowering the likelihood of accounts being impersonated.

In addition, subscribers to the Meta Verified subscription will benefit from increased reach and prompter and more direct customer support. Be that as it may, at this point, the help is simply relevant to individual profiles of grown-up people and not yet accessible for organizations or individuals younger than 18 years.

Users in India are able to join a waitlist for access to the subscription because Meta Verified is currently in its beta testing phase. To join the shortlist, clients can finish up a structure on the Meta site or access it through different channels given by Meta.
