Authorities: Around 200 Bodies Found in Basement of Mariupol Building

On Tuesday, 24th May 2022, the authorities said that, as much as 200 bodies had been found in the basement of an apartment building in the region of Mariupol after the workers have been dug through the debris as the forces of Russia had been conducting an all-out assault for the purpose of encircling the troops of Ukraine in the twin cities straddling a river in the region of eastern Ukraine, which is a battle that can determine the success or failure of the main campaign of Russia in the eastern region of Ukraine.

The region of Mariupol had been relentlessly pounded during a siege that has been ended in past week after around 2,500 fighters of Ukraine abandoned a steel plant where the fighters had made their stand. The armed forces of Russia has already held the rest of Mariupol, where an estimated 100,000 people have remain out a pre-war population of 450,000 and most of them have been trapped during the siege with the little food, heat, electricity and water.

This has occurred exactly three months since Vladimir Putin, president of Russia have ordered the invasion of Ukraine and on Tuesday, 24th May 2022, the authorities has also reopened the underground metro in the second-largest city of Ukraine known as Kharkiv where thousands of civilians had been sheltered for a long time under the attack of Russia.
