Amazon Plans to Recruit 55,000 New Staff Globally

The company ‘Amazon’ has now been planning to recruit 55,000 employees in the jobs including technology and corporate in a recruitment drive across the globe as the novel corona virus pandemic that has been fuelling a boom in the online retail, along with cloud computing and digital advertising.

Andy Jassy, chief executive of Amazon, who has taken over Amazon from Jeff Bezos in July 2021 said, the company has been planning to take on more employees in the multiple locations across the world for the purpose of driving rapid growth at the company, and the number of positions are going to be created in the United States, where the company has also been planning to create 40,000 job roles, and around 2,500 jobs are going to be created in the United Kingdom along with the remaining positions in Japan, India and Germany.

Amazon said, it is going to recruit new staff in the United Kingdom for the offices of the company based in Manchester and London and also the technology hubs of the company based in Edinburgh and Cambridge, and against the down fall of the decreasing demand for the online shopping and the employee shortage across the country, the company is also planning to hire more number of employees across the network of Amazon of the fulfilment centres of United Kingdom.

The details of the announcement had been made in the first press interview of Andy Jassy, and he said that, the company will be needing more staff for the purpose of keeping up with the demand in cloud computing, retail, advertising and several other retail businesses.
