Accenture Acquires Chicago-based Blackcomb Consultants

Accenture has acquired Chicago-based Blackcomb Consultants, a leading independent Guidewire partner in North America, and the terms of the acquisition were not revealed. This acquisition enhances the ability of Accenture to deliver Guidewire solutions to insurers across the globe to help them become cloud-first businesses.

The end-to-end technology platform of Guidewire combines core, digital analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities across the billing, claims, and customer relationship management functions, underwriting, and helping casualty and property insurers to reimagine their operations in the cloud.

John Koepke, technology lead for insurance at Accenture in North America, said that this acquisition strengthens their ability to help insurance carriers use technologies such as analytics and artificial intelligence to improve productivity, and provide personalized offerings to their customers.

Jim Bramblet, Accenture’s insurance industry group lead in North America, said the highly regarded Guidewire capabilities of Blackcomb Consultants will allow them to deliver even greater speed and agility to market for their clients.
