5G Network By Three Reaches 54% Of UK Population

The company ‘Three’ said, its 5G offering has been available in more than 400 locations across over 3,000 sites in the United Kingdom. Three, operator of the United Kingdom announced that, its 5G network is currently covering more than 54 percent of the population.

David Hennessy, CTO at Three UK said, they are very much focused on delivering the biggest and fastest 5G network of the United Kingdom for the millions of mobile in UK and the business and home broadband customers across over half the population of the United Kingdom have been able for accessing their superfast speeds of the network enabling them for living their digital lives to the fullest.

Recently, Three has announced that, it is going to turn off its 3G network by the end of 2024 in a move that is going to allow the company for focusing on the spectrum resources and investments on further improving 4G services during launching the 5G network. Three is covering 99 percent of the United Kingdom outdoor population with the company’s combined 3G and 4G network and is carrying 28 percent of the mobile data traffic in the United Kingdom.

The executive of Three said, as they are continuing to launch their ultrafast connectivity by not only upgrading their existing 4G sites but creating the new 5G sites and they are going to be in a position for switching off their use of 3G across their network by end of 2024.
