Kim Jong Un's letter to Trump

‘We Will Get It Done Together’, Says Trump While A Meeting with Kim Jong-Un

WORLD

US President Donald Trump appreciated North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s decision to accomplish denuclearisation before Mr. Trump’s term which is to be ended by 2021. Kim admired Mr. Trump while talking to his envoy Mr. Chung Eui-Yong, saying that he has good faith in Mr. Trump and never have spoken anything bad about him, even to his closest allies.

Retorting to this, on Thursday, Mr. Trump tweeted: “Kim Jong Un of North Korea proclaims “unwavering faith in President trump.” Thank you to Chairman Kim. We will get it done together!”

Representing Kim, his envoy Mr. Chung said, “Chairman Kim Jong Un has made it clear several times that he is firmly committed to denuclearization, and he expressed frustration over skepticism in the international community over his commitment.”

“He said he’s pre-emptively taken steps necessary for denuclearisation and wants to see these goodwill measures being met with goodwill measures,” Chung continued.

This decision by Kim was closely followed by several co-leaders. Byong-Chul, a senior member at the Institute of Peace and Cooperation in Seoul said, “He probably saw that there was nothing good in provoking Trump, especially when the American president faces deepening legal trouble and disarray in his administration.”
