Nikki Haley to Step down as the UN Ambassador for US from Trump’s Regime

WORLD

US President Donald Trump’s UN ambassador Nikki Haley announced her resignation, on Monday, and said that she will be leaving her post by the end of the year. No precise reason has been mentioned for this decision. However, it might affect Mr. Trump’s mid-term election, to be held in November 2018.

Sitting alongside with Mr. Trump, Haley said, “It was a blessing to go into the U.N. with body armor every day and defend America.” She whole-heartedly praised Trump’s daughter and son-in-law Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, calling Jared a complete “genius”.

Mr. Trump articulated that he would be naming her replacement in coming weeks and discussed that he has five candidates in mind along with daughter Ivanka. While telling Haley’s plan to resign was set from the beginning of the year, he commended her for being “fantastic” and “incredible.”

“She has been very special to me, she has done an incredible job, she is a fantastic person, very importantly, but she is also somebody that gets it,” said Mr. Trump. “Hopefully you’ll be coming back at some point, right.” He added, “Maybe a different capacity, you can have your pick.”

Explaining about her reason to step down, she said: “It’s very important for government officials to understand when it’s time to step aside.” She added, “I want to make sure this administration, this president, has the strongest person to fight.”She won’t be running into 2020, she cleared but definitely would be supporting Trump’s ongoing electoral campaigns.
